Here are some photo’s of a couple of Aussie Weta sailors who have recently completed a 300 plus kilometre journey from Townsville to Cairns. “The voyage to Cairns was a complete success, had a great time and boat performed without issue. Weather was a bit light and lots of direct tail winds (got quite inventive with paddles as spinnaker poles…and playing with the shape of the main) and lots of time at 3 to 5 knots boat speed. Took six days (could have made it 5 but stopped at a nice island), with right weather 3 days would have been achieved. Top speed was 14.6 knots, not bad considering the load…. had some fun surfing the swell”
