About Weta Florida

Weta Florida is owned and operated by Dick Hitchcock. A life long Alaskan, Dick has been involved in sailing for most of his life. His experience includes racing, instruction, sales, and even forming a yacht club with friends. In the summer of 2009 he met the Weta and fell in love!

Last summer, Dick retired from the Anchorage Fire Department to sunny Nokomis, Florida.
The warm weather, beautiful vegetation and endless beaches make Florida a perfect home for the Weta. It is Dick's vision for Florida to have a fleet of sponsored racing Wetas for sailing enthusiasts.
