February 15th, 2017Four Wetas turned out at Kurnell Catamaran Club for possibly one of the best races we've had on Botany Bay with a 12-15 knot Southerly blowing, little traffic, few wind obstructions and mostly flat water.
February 13th, 2017Breeze is on! A brief clip of a wet, but rewarding day out on the water learning how to sail the Weta.. (The camera doesn't do the nose dive at 15sec justice!)
February 07th, 2017The trip took exactly 10 hours, maybe a 10-15 knot NE would be a more consistent direction. It was a bit touch and go around Hooks Bay with almost nil wind. Anyway, lots of fun chasing down the big boats all day and learnt a bit more.
January 18th, 2017It is my opinion that the biggest mistake people make when double-handing a Weta when downwind reaching, is having one person steer the boat while the other sheets the screecher. I don’t believe this is the best way to go about things as one or the other of the sailors...
December 12th, 2016Winner of the 2016 Hobie 16 World Masters and winner of many Australian Multihull Championships, Rod Waterhouse, will compete in the Weta Trimaran class in the sailing regatta at the World Masters Games in Auckland, New Zealand in April next year.
November 30th, 2016Had a great sail with the kids on Saturday, we even set a new pb speed of 29.6kph (16knots). Red Beach to Mansion House Bay and back and even had a pod of dolphins with us for 5 minutes.
