Tremendous gusts today, although mostly flat water. Minor whitecaps. Nearly pitch-poled a couple times, but managed to recover with no harm done. Lots of fun. Of course, I left out the portions where we screwed up and there were more than a few of those! Our windward ama dropped in the water far too often but with this kind of up and down gusty winds we did the best we could do. Either way, it was fun as all get out. I just don't want to sail when the winds are so light that you don't have to work hard to keep the boat down. I'm spoiled.
