Spring Racing in Shanghai

Last Saturday the first WETA Tips and Tricks class was held at the lake with a great turnout of WETA owners and 13 boats. After rigging the boats and putting them on the pontoons at the inner lake, information was updated about developments on the WETA and tips given for preparation, rigging and fine tuning. Since boat handling is important on our site, this was discussed as well as hoisting sails and parking the boat safely on the water which can be a challenge but training sailors beforehand can avoid unnecessary damages. With the wind blowing and the water calling capsize training and recovery were postponed and replaced with regatta start training.

The end of the day featured Helens very welcome BBQ and chocolate mousse - a great social time with people relaxing and chatting until dark. Many thanks to all participants, Per Lindvall for the start training and of course my Helen for the delicious BBQ.

Don't forget the WETA cup! First race for the cup was on the 23rd of April with "only" one WETA in the race!!! C'mon guys, just do it!!! Hoping to see all WETA out at the start line next race!!!
