2017 Weta Nationals at Cascade Locks, Oregon July 28-30 was like no other we've experienced before. Sustained winds were 20-24 knots with a top recorded gust of 40.

The Columbia River Gorge in Oregon delivered BIG for the 2017 Weta Nationals, with sustained winds between 22-30 knots over 3 days of glorious racing. Competitors came from Florida, North Carolina, Cali, and Washington for fun, camaraderie, and to prove who could best handle the Gorge beast.

Santa Cruz "Weta Kickoff"

Since everyone else is getting ready or already heading to the Gorge for the Weta Nationals, I thought I’d write up the Santa Cruz Weta Kickoff (okay, Hobie Kickoff, but we were a sizable fleet) which took place last weekend.

Weta Custom Hull Colours Available

Choose from any one of the stock colours from the colour chart. Production will take about 3 months vs 1-2 months for standard light grey Wetas. Darker colours such as black and dark red are not really suitable as these colours fade quickly especially if not under cover.

2017 Huntington Highlights

Last weekend 6 Wetas convened on Huntington Lake, 7000 feet up on the western side of the Sierras, outside of Fresno, California. We had a great weekend of racing as part of the Fresno Yacht Club's Commodore's Open Classic regatta.
