Weta Marine has been searching for 13 years to find a continuous furler which can match the quality of the boat. The three previous furlers have worked with varying degrees of success but with the new Harken continuous furling system (1134) + Swivel (164); adds the final touch of quality to the Weta.
It is more expensive as it is a precision product but worth every cent in our view. It will be included with all new boat orders placed before 1 June at no extra charge, prices will rise after this date to reflect the increased cost. It's available from Weta dealers to retrofit to existing boats.
Why upgrade to Harken?
The Harken 1134 Line drive furling unit is fully alloy (drum and cage) with torlon ball bearings. The same bearings are used in Harken traveller cars and blocks and the same bearing system used in their larger Reflex top down furling units, making it a very smooth system to use.
