Whitianga is a great location for a weekend away, sailing in Mercury Bay is stunning! 

This year we will be introducing handicaps into the racing. This should make sailing at this regatta interesting for everyone. Times will be recorded and the handicaps calculated which will give sailors the opportunity of close racing between all boats.

There will be 2 race options:

• - Buffalo Beach Flybys which will be short Windward races close to the beach.
• - Mercury Bay Scenic Adventures which will be longer races up to 16km using existing harbour markers in the Bay. This should appeal to both racers and cruisers.

The racing program is entirely weather dependent so the Race Committee will decide at the briefing on the courses each day.
