A dozen Wetas gathered at Weston Sailing Club in bright sunshine and a fresh breeze for their first ever regatta weekend which was therefore designated 'the Nationals'. The Weta is the world's largest insect and gatherings of the class are referred to as swarms.

Michael Fischer Weta #126 is planning to sail from Agioi Apostoli to Ios - a 126NM journey to his wife's home island. He will be passing Cape Sounio, Serifos, Sifnos and Paros. Weather permitting, Michael plans to start around the 1st of July.

A field of 77 dinghies - from Optimists to 18ft Skiffs were entered in the annual Peter Loft Marathon Race from Bayview Yacht Racing Club.
