Ten Wetas turned out for the Jervis Bay Regatta over the holiday weekend and were blessed with mostly warm sunny conditions most of the weekend.

When it comes to sailing, we are always chasing the wind. At times, the wind ceases to exist or may be insurmountable. 2015 Zhik Weta Nationals became the latter. Cue the insanity! Due to conditions, the majority of this friendly fleet partnered together and sailed two up.

The Carbon sushi roll experiment went rather well yesterday. Despite the Haze that is plaguing Singapore right now, we got a nice little sail in on the 'experiment'. It's a dramatic transformation and the results will be scaled up in the future.

Funky Cat-paw winds aside, managed to read the clouds for best wind and take advantage of relatively calm surface conditions. Hit 23. 8 at some point according to the Velocitek Speed Puck. Frankly, I didn't think this boat could attain that speed, but apparently it will. By Tom Kirkman

With the introduction of a revised Weta for 2015 combined with a new manufacturer (Australian owned Xtreme Sailing Products in Singapore) and and a new sail supplier (North Sails), the Sydney Weta fleet is getting ready for a packed program of events in Sydney Harbour and around the NSW region.

Every September the multihull fleet arrives at the “inland sea” of North Carolina better known as Lake Norman spanning over 520 miles of coastline. Weta racers came from Florida, Georgia and the eastern part of North Carolina for a fun filled weekend at Lake Norman Yacht Club.
