In the shadows of the world's great ocean going liners a gathering took place in Southampton water on 6/7th June of somewhat smaller vessels. The U. K. 's Weta National Championships came to the south coast of England and was hosted by the Weston Sailing Club.

A dozen Wetas gathered at Weston Sailing Club in bright sunshine and a fresh breeze for their first ever regatta weekend which was therefore designated 'the Nationals'. The Weta is the world's largest insect and gatherings of the class are referred to as swarms.

Five boats registered in this years Dave Irey Memorial Regatta at West River Sailing Club in Galesville, Maryland just south of Annapolis on the Chesapeake Bay on May 30-31.

The annual Duck Cup regatta will take place on June 6th and 7th at Nor’Banks Sailing in Duck, NC. This is also a points event for the EMSA this year so we expect attendance to be high and competition to be fierce. NOR
